Sin Miedo is a ten piece band- one trumpet, one trombone, one sax, timbales, conga, bongo, piano, Bass and two lead singers.
Led by French pianist Didier Prossaird, Sin Miedo has been performing in the DC-Baltimore area for the past 10 years, collaborating with salsa greats Tito Allen and Frankie Vasquez, touring the US and abroad with the Washington Ballet and providing Salsa music for the hottest dance nights in the Capital. The repertoire of the band includes original music with Spanish and French lyrics and the Salsa classics of the 70’s to today’s latest hits as well as Latin jazz. The band has released three albums, “Mama Linda” (1998), “La Clave” (2001) and “Estoy Enamorado” (2009). Their latest Latin music recording is in the category of salsa music. Since the release, the CD has received tremendous reviews by such Latin Music giants as Bruce Polin, CEO, desgarga.com, and several radio show personalities and program managers. The CD is receiving radio air play in California, Florida, Texas, Alaska, Oklahoma, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Illinois, Baltimore and of course Washington D.C Where WPFW’s Latin Flavor program has given them a great review and has made them regulars on his play list. Their latest recording features Alfredo Mojica, a gifted percussionist and singer who has played with Meshell Ndgeocello, Carlos Santana to name a few. The album also features Salsa recording artist Steven Falcon and Didier Prossaird singing both in Spanish and French. “Sin Miedo is Spanish for “Fearless”, and it’s also the name of one the best Salsa band in Washington.
